Motive

Motive is a human-centred digital health platform, born from my Honours thesis, that transforms Parkinson’s management through intuitive design, actionable insights, and meaningful patient–clinician connection.

Motive represents the culmination of rigorous research and empathetic design, developed as part of my Honours thesis, Developing Digital Interventions for Parkinson’s Disease. This project tackles the critical shortcomings of existing Parkinson’s management tools many of which are outdated, fragmented, and inaccessible by delivering a seamless, integrated mobile platform that unifies symptom tracking, therapy adherence, and doctor and patient communication. Through extensive fieldwork, user engagement, and iterative UX testing, Motive translates complex, often overwhelming health data into clear, meaningful insights that empower users to actively engage with their care journey. Simultaneously, it equips clinicians with concise, actionable information to support more personalised, timely interventions. Designed with scalability and adaptability at its core, Motive is not only a tailored solution for Parkinson’s but a flexible framework poised to transform chronic disease management across diverse healthcare contexts. This project reflects my commitment to human-centred, purpose-driven design, where innovation meets empathy to create lasting, measurable impact that elevates both user experience and clinical outcomes.
